Château Sociando Mallet 2015

Color: Purple intense | Nose: The nose offers a real aromatic power combining floral (red rose) and generous black fruit, gourmet and conferring fraîcheu. . . | Taste: The entry into mouth is dynamic, the middle of the mouth acting both on the power and delicacy around tannin. . . | Evolution: Aging potential 15 years |

Its intense colour attracted me. Raspberry flavour. The best aftertaste of Haut-Médoc.
My partner paired it with several snacks. Was a good idea.
I drank it with a business client.

Wine Château Sociando Mallet Sociando-Mallet castle produces full-bodied wines, a beautiful deep dark color. Their bouquet is complex, usually dominated by notes of black fruit, a touch of minerality and a well-integrated woody end. Often a little "manly" in their youth, the wines gain in harmony and complexity with age. They are characterized by their freshness, their righteousness and good length. Castle Sociando-Mallet is traditionally a long aging wine with great vintages to drink with happiness even after 30 years of cellaring. Château Sociando-Mallet 2009
Sociando Mallet dates back to 1633 and is named from the oldest owner, a "sieur Sociando" having a 'noble vineyard in Saint-Seurin-de-Cadourne. It is around 1850 that the winery took its final name thanks to the new owner and widow Mrs. Mallet.
Since 1989 Jean Gautreau has managed to make Sociando Mallet one of the greatest Haut Médoc.

It is qualified as a "serious wine" by the English magazine Decanter. Do not miss this wine: it is not a "cru bourgeois" but could easily be considered as a Classified Growth!
A wine to age to discover a fantastic wine.Drink or keep: 2015 - 2025Delicious with: Roasted beef

I would suggest that you serve it with a good potatoes stew. With my friends we always order Château Sociando Mallet.
Brillant ruby red colour, high layer. Good smell of coffee and toffee. A little bit salty but it was very good.
