Vista: A bright color and a beautiful nose of black, elegant fruit.
Nose: The aroma of frosted cherry, overall a very attractive style. :
Palate: The palate is soft and flexible made at first, but there is no substance underneath it all, with acidity and well integrated tannins. A strong character is very nice with great potential

Sociando Mallet dates back to 1633 and is named from the oldest owner, a "sieur Sociando" having a 'noble vineyard in Saint-Seurin-de-Cadourne. It is around 1850 that the winery took its final name thanks to the new owner and widow Mrs. Mallet.
Since 1989 Jean Gautreau has managed to make Sociando Mallet one of the greatest Haut Médoc.

It is qualified as a "serious wine" by the English magazine Decanter. Do not miss this wine: it is not a "cru bourgeois" but could easily be considered as a Classified Growth!

A beautiful colour. Characteristic nuts notes.Licorice flavour.
I had it with fish, but I didn't like the fish, and therefore the wine didn't taste right.
The first time I drank it with people from Château Sociando Mallet.

I would suggest that you serve it with a good potatoes stew. With my friends we always order Château Sociando Mallet.
Brillant ruby red colour, high layer. Good smell of coffee and toffee. A little bit salty but it was very good.
