“Château La Tour Carnet is the first wine I drank with my parents.
It has a dark red colour. Sensual aromas of chocolate. Very good acidity of this Haut-Médoc.
We had it with a bean stew and it was very nice.”
“The uniqueness of the terroir of Saint-Laurent-du-Medoc lies in its diversity. It is a mosaic of sandy-gravelly and gravelly slopes on which are located the best vineyards, including La Tour Carnet. Soil structure presents a great similarity with that of neighboring appellations of Pauillac and Saint-Julien.
The average age of the vines is 24 years.”
“La Tour Carnet is one of the oldest castles of the Médoc, evidenced by its medieval architecture, with its famous tower surrounded by a moat, and its vineyards planted since 1407. Chateau was owned by the family of the philosopher Michel de Montaigne in his mayor time of Bordeaux. Since the resumption of vintage Bernard Magrez, La Tour Carnet has undergone drastic changes and effective, both in the vineyard and in the new winery. The changes have paid off.”

“A Haut-Médoc with brown edges. In this Château La Tour Carnet you can smell coffee. It was in poor condition, tasted vinegary.
It was too well-bodied for our meal.
I like to surprise my family with this wine.”
“Pretty cherry colour, medium opacity. Sure smell of gooseberries. Distinctively oxidized, it was spoiled.
This wine wasn't good enough for our dinner.
I drank a few glasses at a meal with work colleagues..”
