Château la Lagune 2009

Château La Lagune in the exceptional 2009 vintage, this is a dress with a deep and dense ruby purple, a powerful nose with aromas of ripe black fruits and a large palate followed by a lot of creaminess and a final long, intense and fruity. A wine that should still keep in the cellar 2 or 3 years to assess the first bottles and that we can keep at least thirty years. Situated on the grounds of Ludon the heart of the Haut Médoc, Château La Lagune is ranked third vintage in the official classification of Bordeaux wines of 1855. It is now run by Caroline Frey whose work undertaken since about ten years will lead to organic certification in 2016. the Château La Lagune has the distinction of being one of the five castles of Medoc from the official classification of Bordeaux wines of 1855 will not be part of the appellations Saint-Estèphe, Saint Julien, Pauillac or Margaux. Château la Lagune Haut-Médoc 3Ème Grand Cru Classé 2009

I had found it in the shop where I'm used to buy.
Red ruby colour with reddish brown tinges. Aromas of leather and tobacco. It left a long taste.

Château Lague 2009

Smells like cedar wood or pine tree. Like the fruit flavour.
A good value for money.

Reviews about Château la Lagune 2012

In the early sixteenth century was born the "Village of the Lagoon" or will be built 50 years later a farm. After many changes of ownership, Château La Lagune was bought in 2000 by the Frey family, who will make significant investments to position itself among the greatest.
The 82 hectares of this Haut-Médoc extend a severe croup. The vines of the vineyard is composed of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot 30% and 10% Merlot.
The wines are aged in barrels (50% new) for 18 months.
This vintage 2012 is under the sign of charm and finesse. It has notes of blackcurrant, slightly toasted, complemented by aromas of vanilla and spices.

LAGUNE 2007 Chateau La BODEGA: Chateau La LAGUNE
ALCOHOL: 13.5%
cherry red high layer and edging tile abundant and slightly thin tear stained glass. Good intensity nose, candied black fruit, balsamic and toasted wood background. in mouth: Good attack, acidity present, polished tannins, creamy
MARRIAGE: Combines with grilled meats, poultry, game, roast lamb, stewed meats, semi-hard cheeses.

Cherry color with orange trim, bright. Good coat. Aromatic, high intensity. Changing wine improves after opening. Ripe black fruit, spicy, fine leathers and bay leaf. Ample and velvety, long haul. Sensations of ripe plums, blackberries, ink, balsamic, but polished tannin. Largo, balanced, persistent and enveloping.
Pairing: Wine of average power, to enjoy in all its splendor recommend serving it with not very strong and hearty dishes not disguise the taste. Arrogant with undercooked meat, without seasoning. Sirloin steak grilled or natural wood can be perfect allies. Even with baked fish with light sauces as the "stew" of grouper and monkfish with potatoes, or for example hake grilled with roasted garlic cream smooth.
