Château Cantemerle 2016 (Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot)
- View: dark ruby and beautiful.
- Nose: aromatic bouquet, aromas of ripe black fruit and raspberry, slightly woody notes and vanilla.
- Mouth: Very nice, round and elegant attack, silky and fine tannins, delicate aromas of cassis and raspberry, a long finish very fresh.
APPELLATION: High Medoc.
VINEYARD: area of 92 hectares, gravel soils and silica.
GRAPES: 56% Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot 36%, 6% Petit Verdot, 2% Cabernet franc.
AGEING: 12 months in French oak barrels, of which 40% of first use.
PREPARATION: fermented wine between 6 and 8 days in stainless steel at a controlled temperature between 26 and 28ºC. malolactic fermentation between 28 and 30 days.
ALCOHOL CONTENT: 13%

In the Middle Ages, the château of Cantemerle, seat of the jurisdiction of the same name, bordered the Garonne River and made up part of the line of fortifications that defended the banks of the Médoc region, just over half a mile from the present château.More about the Winery
