In the beautiful country of Australia, in the state of Victoria, can be found the impressive forested hill of Mount Langi. The mountains of the Great Dividing Range are on one side while those in the Grampians National Park lie on the other side. The first vineyards at Mount Langi were first planted over 150 years ago by immigrants who arrived in the area searching for gold.
The grapes for Mount Langi Ghiran Billi Billi Shiraz are collected from vineyards throughout Victoria, both in the Grampians and the Mount Langi Ghiran vineyards. These grapes are exclusively sourced from regions with cool climates so that the final product can really show off the gift that the cool climate gives to the grapes by allowing them to ripen slowly and steadily. The mountains in the area provide shade for the underlying areas to shorten the hours of sunshine while the higher elevation causes the nights to be cooler, especially when the grapes are maturing in autumn.
Mount Langi Ghiran Billi Billi Shiraz draws its name from an aboriginal chief of the region from the 1860s. As a dark wine, it shines with the flavour of fruit, spice, and floral notes that make it perfect to savour. This Australian Shiraz is a luscious choice to enjoy along with beef, lamb, game, or poultry.

Mount Langi Ghiran Billi Billi Shiraz 2016 (Shiraz)
- View: Dark ruby colour
- Nose: Aromas of dark berries, brambles and dark cherries.
- Mouth: The palate displays blackberry, liquorice and raspberries leading to a long finish with fine tannins.
APPELLATION: Grampians (Victoria, Australia).
VINEYARD: Mount Langi Ghiran.
AGEING: The ageing of this wine is achieved thanks to a year of low yield, which produces a length concentrated taste in wines. A dry, hot summer with a fresher January / February led to a long period of maturation and an excellent maturity of the grapes.
PREPARATION: the grapes benefit from a night cooling, especially in autumn, when the grapes are ripening, as the cold air falls down the mountains and flows through the valley. Another advantage of the mountains is a shadow effect that shortens the effective hours of sun and protects the vineyards from overexposure.
WINE PAIRING: It works perfectly to accompany lamb, grilled vegetables, beef and poultry.
RECOMMENDED SERVING TEMPERATURE: 16-18 ° C
