Polvanera 17 Primitivo Gioia del Colle 2016 (Primitivo)

TASTING NOTES:

  • View: ruby ​​red purple, deep.
  • Nose: Dense bouquet of fruits of the forest, blackberry and plum, subtle floral notes (rose), vegetables (tea leaves), with hints of licorice, graphite and wild.
  • Mouth: grand, elegant, soft tannins and vibrant acidity-mineral vein. Final Final in perfect correspondence with the smell.

APPELLATION: Gioia of the Colle Primitivo.

VINEYARD: chalky and clayey soil.

GRAPES: Primitivo.

AGEING: at least 18 months in stainless steel and aging the bottles for at least one year.

METHOD: Handpicked in boxes, maceration of the skins with the juice for 4 weeks.

Color purple-red ruby with great depth. Dense bouquet of wild berries, blackberry and plum, with subtle floral notes (rose) and plant (leaf tea), enhanced by memories of licorice, graphite and wild.
Taste imposing, elegant, austere, supported by smooth tannins and a vibrant vein-mineral acid.
Final ending in perfect correspondence with the smell.

I like it with the meat we ate. My friends and I drank it in a specialized bar.
Brillant ruby red colour, high layer. Aromas of ripe fruits. A slightly bitter end.
