Nordés Gin , a Premium gin defined by its producers as an Atlantic of Galicia Gin.
The Nordés Gin , with 40% alcohol by volume, is distilled from Albariño wine (a native grape variety) and a selection of Galician wild herbs, such as bay leaf, caralleira, verbena, toxo, eucaliptus, juniper, cardamom, quinine, a few lemon zest, ginger, hibiscus, liquorice and tea.
It is characterised by slow maceration and distillation using traditional methods. The Nordés Gin is bottled in a large, white bottle, with as a label the map of the world where Galicia appears clearly.
The story of Nordés Gin begins with that of a renowned sommelier, winner of the Nariz de Oro Prize in 2004, Galician wine entrepreneur and master distiller. He dreamed of making a Galician gin, with ingredients from his land, which was different from other brands of gin. Thus, after many tests, he finally found the perfect formula to capture the essence of Galicia, giving birth to what is now the recipe for the Nordés Gin .
