You will like to know that…
Nordés Gin is the result of the friendship between a sommelier, a wine entrepreneur, and a master distiller, who had the shared dream of producing a gin that was from their land. So, they started to experiment until they came up with the perfect recipe to match their homeland of Galicia, in the northwest corner of Spain.
The name "Nordés" is how a typical wind in Galicia is called. This wind always carries the freshness of the Atlantic with it. It is also the wind that brings good weather and serves as a fitting name for a gin that brings enjoyment to all who taste it. The inspiration for the bottle itself is also drawn from deep within Galicia, modelled on the traditional white and blue ceramics made by artisans in Sargadelos.
You may be wondering what Galicia tastes like. To craft the flavour of this gin, the company starts with Galician albariño grapes, which are distilled into a neutral spirit alive with subtle fruit notes. Six herbs that can be found in the wild in Galicia are then added: sage, lemon verbena, bay leaf, peppermint, eucalyptus, and Salicornia. To these are added five botanicals from abroad to round out the flavour: juniper, cardamom, ginger, hibiscus, and black Ceylon tea. The result is a fruity, aromatic gin with personality that is steadily conquering palates around the world.
