Description of Gin Lane 1751 Royal Strength
Gin Lane 1751 Royal Strength
TASTING NOTES:
- Colour: Gin Lane 1751 Royal Strength is brightly transparent.
- Aroma: A heady and mouth-watering scent journey of celery, pine, tangerine, and spice.
- Taste: Smooth and bold, a classic London Dry-style palate with notes of juniper, lemon zest, liquorice, and an underlying nuttiness. The finish is clean, crisp, and refreshing.
PRODUCER: Gin Lane gins are crafted by Charles Maxwell at Thames Distillers in London. Maxwell carries this out at the request of, and in partnership with, The Bloomsbury Club, a group of gin aficionados and beverage industry pros with a shared desire to bring back the fabulous gins of the Victorian era and make them popular once more. Their line of gins is named after the Hogarth etching of Gin Lane and its disheveled gin-swilling inhabitants, which is thought to have helped inspire the Gin Act of 1751, a law that both restricted gin and made it of higher quality and more posh.
COUNTRY: United Kingdom.
PRODUCTION DETAILS: This premium strength London dry gin is a high-strength version of the original Gin Lane 1751 expression, the strength bringing out its flavours more powerfully and deliciously. Gin Lane 1751 Royal Strength is created using eight botanicals, namely angelica, cassia bark, coriander, juniper, orris root, Seville orange, Sicilian lemon, and star anise.
ALCOHOL: 47%
Higher strength ABV to allow the botanicals to release and give off more pronounced flavours.
- Juniper release is accentuated with a clean, crisp finish.
