Elaboration of Confuron Cotetidot Gevrey Chambertin 2008
Confuron Cotetidot Gevrey Chambertin 2008 (Pinot Noir)
Yves Confuron is a vigneron capitalized. no more to see his hands or his neck to realize the character we face. It has good plots and works with real passion. raspón uses in his dishes, and wines are prepared to endure many years. their villages are very rich and "them suchots" is his favorite cuvée. anyway, besides his humor, the best are their prices.
How to serve
Domaine Confuron-Cotetidot was born in 1964, in Burgundy, in the splendid Côte de Nuits, from the union of two important families in the world of viticulture in Burgundy. The Confuron family, in particular, has a wine tradition from the seventeenth century and a pinot nero strain even bears its name and is in fact known as pinot-Confuron. The winery is located in Vosne-Romanèe and includes some of the most prestigious vineyards in Burgundy, with about 11 hectares of its own vineyards, including Gran Cru, Premier Cru and Village. In the vineyard, the work is carried out with traditional methods and respectful of the environment and plants, favoring low yields and harvests made exclusively during the maximum ripening phase of the grapes. In the traditional and artisanal winery of the Domaine, Yves Confuron and his brother Jean-Pierre, owners and winemakers, do not de-grape the grapes and practice a long maceration, few punctures and for the aging that requires from 18 to 24 months, they use wood, mainly of 2nd and 3rd passage. The wines obtained are not filtered and finish the refinement in the bottle. The result is ripe red, intense and elegant, extremely long-lived and with an extraordinary drink that express the terroir of belonging with absolute fidelity.More about the Winery
