TASTING NOTES:
- View:
- Nose: thyme, fresh basil, dill and cilantro, lemon meringue, honeysuckle and white peach.
- Mouth: medium body full, oily but subtle texture, lots of acidity, medium long finish.
APPELLATION: Friuli Venezia Giulia.
GRAPES: sauvignon blanc, chardonnay, Ribolla gialla, Istrian malvasia and Picolit.
PAIRING: main meat or mushrooms, or meat with mushroom sauce dishes.
RECOMMENDED SERVING TEMPERATURE: 10-12 °C

The Winery
Jermann

It was the 18th century when Stefanus migrated from the Austrian Burgenland to the village of Bilijana (now Slovenia). Later in 1881 Anton Jermann, great-grandfather of Silvio, in turn moves from Bilijana to Villanova.

TASTING NOTES:
APPELLATION: Friuli-Venezia Giulia
VINES: In 16 hectares of land, Silvio Jermann cultivates Sauvignon, Ribolla, Chardonnay and Malvasia with which produces Jermann Vintage Tunina Vinnaioli 2017. The vineyard is located in the hills of Ronco del Fortin. Soil is composed mainly of marl and sandstone, forming the "ponca", a typical area of the substrate, particularly favorable for the growth of screws. The planting density of about 6,000, 7,000 vines per hectare grown nasturtium Guyot system, with a yield ranging from 40 to 60 tons of grapes per plot.
GRAPES: Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Ribolla and Malvasia.
AGEING: The wine in oak barrels for aging is transferred, and bottled.
PREPARATION: The harvest is done with a couple of weeks late compared to the traditional. The grapes are selected from the healthier, they are taken immediately to the winery for pickling, and then press lightly. PAIRING: Excellent with fish dishes, which goes well with white meat.
