Mount Calvary there were also old and abandoned vineyards. Damijan Podversic there has been purchasing small pieces of land. Today on such land there is' the most important nucleus of the company of about six hectares, planted with yellow Ribolla, malvasia, Friuli (Tocai), merlot and cabernet sauvignon. In San Floriano half a hectare, which was part of the company's grandfather, used as a chardonnay. A Gradiscutta there are two hectares in af? Tto with chardonnay, malvasia and Friuli. A further Piedimonte and a half hectares in af? Tto 20 years with Friulian, chardonnay and malvasia. Damijan Podversic and 'favorite student Josko Gravner. For its Malvasia biodynamic chose VINIFICATION in small packages and without adding yeast. A wine unique.
VIEW: golden yellow NOSE: presents fruity and elegant mineral hints MOUTH: the palate is soft and aromatic with good acidity 'TYPE: Venezia Giulia IGT PRODUCER: Damijan Podversic GRAPES: Istrian Malvasia 100% REFINING: aged in bottle 6 months. The sediment in the bottle its wine preserve it and protect it. HARVEST: by hand into crates with selection in the vineyard at the beginning of October PRODUCTION NOTES: the trees are grown and 'unilateral Guyot and palm rammed VINIFICATION: fermentation takes place in the presence of the skins in small oak conical without temperature control and without selected yeasts, enzymes and clarification. A Malvasía with a nice colour. Very aromatic, with a predominance of bananas and lychees.I liked the taste of blackberries in this Damijan Podversic Malvasia.
To pair with baked fish.
I tried it on a tasting course.
