Uberti Franciacorta Brut Francesco I
You will like to know that…
Maybe you're already asking yourself, why this sparkling wine is called Francesco I. Well, I'll tell you. Formerly, if a wine had bubbles, it was seen as an error of the beverage, but it happened now and then. Francesco I. (or François I), King of France from 1515 to 1547, dedicated himself to modernize his country's culture and customs, and fought for the rather new virtue of sparklings against all its detractors. Thanks to him vintners could develop a method of producing sparkling wines intentionally and of good quality. As Francesco I. is an important character in the world of proseccos and champagnes, Uberti dedicated this Uberti Franciacorta Brut Francesco I to the historic figure. And we can say, it's just 'magnifique'!
