Ca del Bosco Maurizio Zanella 1999
Garnet red very intense and thick, almost gloomy. To the nose it shows first as a compact, dense and complex. Then little by little his bouquet opens in a thousand facets. You feel very intense notes of red fruit (BlackBerry, cherry and plum) and jam; then the notes of red flowers and yet warm notes of evolution and refinement: cocoa, coffee, eucalyptus, licorice and vanilla, and then a slight hint of herby. Everything merges into a collection of outstanding persistence. The taste also confirms an extraordinarily compact wine, rich and powerful, fleshy and "fat", warm and harmonious. You receive again the notes of red fruit, jam and vanilla, cocoa, liquorice and roasted, even Mint. The tannins are perfectly round. The taste is remarkable persistence. The wine has good acidity, which will be the main support for a long ageing, which should blend in with the wine.
