Firriato Gaudensius Blanc de Noir (Nerello Mascalese)
- View: soft straw yellow gold, fine and persistent.
- Nose: reminiscent of the land of Sicily with its citrus, anise and a hint of minerals.

VINEYARD: In Firriato hostel located 650 m.s.l.m. on the slopes of Etna, on a sandy volcanic soil and high drainage capacity, grow grapes Nerello, endemic in this area. The particular climate that makes them unique: the high temperature range, exposure to typical Mediterranean sun and a soil rich in minerals, give these varieties aromatic characteristics that are then enhanced with sparkling wine.
GRAPES: 100% Nerello Mascalese
AGEING: up to 4 years.
PREPARATION: Other than with other grapes Etna, Nerello requires pruning increases foliar screw portion, in order to protect the grapes from the sun. Through that naturally it slows down the maturation time, allowing the plant to concentrate more aromas and malic acid. The harvest takes place later, in mid-September. For vinification proceeds with the classic method, while aging continues for 32 months in the yeast in a cellar dug into the volcanic rock.
