Quinta do Crasto 2017 (Touriga Franca, Tinta Barroca, Touriga Nacional and Tinta Roriz)

  • Nose: Excellent aromatic intensity with floral notes of violet and expressive aromaswild fruits.
  • Mouth: The palate begins in an attractive way, evolving towards a balanced wine with excellent volume and structure.


VINEYARD: Quinta do Crasto.

GRAPES: Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz, Touriga Franca and Tinta Barroca.

AGEING: 85% in stainless steel temperature controlled; 15% in French oak barrels of 225 liters for 6 months.

PREPARATION: After rigorous selection, the grapes are crushed and transferred to stainless steel tanks. Alcoholic fermentation at a controlled temperature for 7 days.

PAIRING: beef, pasta, lamb, game.

Situated on the right bank of the Douro River between Régua and Pinhão, Quinta do Crasto is a 135-hectare estate with 74 hectares of vineyards. The property enjoys a privileged location within the Douro Demarcated Region and dates far back in time (the name Crasto comes from the Latin word “castrum” referring to a “Roman fort”).

Aus den Trauben der Tinta Roriz, Touriga Nacional,Touriga Franca mit 13,5%, 4,9g/L Säure, Restzucker 1,8 0g/L. Schöne weiche Aromen, Die klassischen Portweintrauben geben dieses volle Aroma. Die Trauben werden handgepflückt und in kleinen Körben gesammelt. Vor der weiteren Verarbeitung wird selektiert. Die 1. Fermentation findet - bei ständiger Temperaturkontrolle - während 7 Tagen in INOX-Stahltanks statt. Erst dann werden die Trauben schonend gepresst und weiter verarbeitet,Super Primärfrucht aus dem sonnenverwöhnten 2017! Die klassischen Portweintrauben geben dieses volle Aroma und 5% reifen 6 Monate im Barrique Einer der kleinen Brüder des jetzt berühmten "Old Vines". Gut zu Geflügel, Wild, Lamm, Ofengerichte (z.b. überbackene Aufläufe).
