Proeza 2015 (Tinto Cão, Touriga Franca, Tinta Barroca and Tinta Roriz)
- View: Proeza 2015 has a beautiful, bright, ruby red colour.
- Nose: Aromas of ripe red fruits reveal on the nose, and a very subtle hint of fresh lilies.
- Mouth: Creamy on the mouth, with traces of butter and fresh fruit. Good acidity and good balance. Soft tannins at the end, with the slightest hint of coffee.
VINEYARD: Barão De Vilar. The history of this vineyard dates back to he 17th century, when the van Zeller family established in Portuguese lands. Since then, 14 generations have successfully managed a prosperous business, devoting their lives to the production of quality wines and maintaining the name of the house. This red wine from the Douro region is no exception, following tradition to make a truly fine expression of the house and the region.
GRAPES: Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz, Tinto Cão, and Tinta Barroca.
PREPARATION: The vinification process for this red is fairly traditional. The grapes are collected and transported to the cellar, where they are selected and processed. The fermentation stage is conducted in stainless steel vats at a controlled temperature. Excellent wine from a true dynasty house.
PAIRING: Ideal to be served with beef, pasta, veal, and well-elaborated poultry.
RECOMMENDED SERVING TEMPERATURE: 16-18°C
