The firm tannins nestle on the palate for a long and satisfying finish.APPELLATION: DouroVINEYARD: Douro. Doura is located in the heart of the Douro Valley in northern Portugal, where the climate is typically Mediterranean. The vines were planted in 1991 and 1992 on south-facing slopes. Harvest took place between the third and fourth weeks of September. GRAPES: 50% Touriga Franca, 20% Touriga Nacional, 15% Tinta Barroca, 15% Tinta RorizAGEING: Matured for 9 months in old French oak barrels, then stabilized and aged in the bottle for a further. Will cellar well for up to 3 years.PREPARATION: Each grape variety was vinified separately. Alcoholic fermentation took place in large stainless-steel vats which were temperature controlled to 28ºC.
