TASTING NOTES:

  • View: Golden yellow.
  • Nose: Different floral aromas blend beautifully with the oak.
  • Mouth: Vibrant and electrical Paladar and finally, a persistent and subtly salty finish.

APPELLATION: Douro

VINEYARD: Naples Quinta and Vale do Pinhão.

GRAPES: Rabigato, Codega, Viosinho, Arinto.

AGEING: maturation period of 9 months in French oak barrels.

PREPARATION: fermented and aged in barrels on its lees.

WINE PAIRING: Ideal with grilled fish, seafood risotto, white meat. Vegetarian suggestions: pasta with cheese.

18,5 pts Vinho Grandes Escolhas - Redoma reserva 2011 shows very intense fruit notes dominated by the citric character, mineral and very elegant have a great potential to age, in the palate is very deep with complex fruit flavors, strong mineral character and great acidity as a support of the concentration, only a slight smoky character shows the barrels fermentation. The wine has great elegance and an immense ageing potential.

Me and my clients from Douro tasted it together.
It is a beautiful golden yellow colour. Smells like banana. It was harsh in the mouth for a Douro.
It was very fancy with Chinese food.
