TASTING NOTES:

  • View: Deep red violet.
  • Nose: Ripe red fruit, cherry compote in harmony with notes of spices from breeds used, sweet notes of vanilla and coffee.
  • Mouth: full-bodied, structured and elegant, intense notes of red fruits and chocolate, long finish with quality tannins.

APPELLATION: Douro.

Montes Ermos 2017

I was introduced to this lovely Douro Red wine while on holiday near Porto and this was just about the only way I could get it when back in England. I certainly recommend Drinks&Co

The best company for Montes Ermos is a good conversation.
It revealed a very light colour. The smell was strong and I liked it. A soft, fresh wine.
I recommend to pair it with "Pinchos" or "Tapas".

The best wine in combination with grilled foie. My friends loved Montes Ermos.
The reddish brown edges were not very nice. Definitely the wrong colour, although it was an acceptable wine. The smell of this Montes Ermos reminds me somehow a menthol candy. It is voluptuos, with body.
