In Between a territory of wide landscapes and a beautiful agricultural mosaic along the Douro river, the Monte Ermos wine is given birth. A product made by the agricultural cooperative of the "Freixo de Espada à Cinta", this small association of local farmers produces and promotes various traditional Portuguese products, from olive oil to dry fruits and nuts, with the help of the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development to promote and develop the goods of the region.
An otherwise balanced red wine, it accompanies perfectly the typical Portuguese powerhouse dishes and that is to say meat, cod or cheese. If you have ever been to the Portuguese countryside you know you know.

It revealed a very light colour. The smell was strong and I liked it. A soft, fresh wine.
I recommend to pair it with "Pinchos" or "Tapas".

The reddish brown edges were not very nice. Definitely the wrong colour, although it was an acceptable wine. The smell of this Montes Ermos reminds me somehow a menthol candy. It is voluptuos, with body.
