Crasto Superior 2015

Crasto Superior is Wien red fresh and balanced on the nose. Fresh on the palate, great body and ripe tannins firm. Very complex notes of dark berried fruits, cistus gum and cocoa towards the lingering elegant finish. Excellent length.
Manuel Lobo is the winemaker of this excellent red wine from the Douro region

- View: dark purple.
- Nose: very expressive and intense aromas, fresh berry fruit, elegant notes of soft rubber and spices.
- Mouth: fresh, large volume, solid structure, round, firm tannins. persistent finish with pleasant sensations berry fruit and well-integrated fresh spices.

Nestled on a privileged location in the DouroDemarcated Region, Quinta do Crasto has belonged to the family of Leonor and Jorge Roquette for over a century and like all the great properties of the Douroit dates back to ancient times - the name "Crasto" is derived from the Latin word "castrum", which means "Roman fort". Quinta do Crasto produces a full range of products, from Dourowhite and red wines and Port wines to extra virgin olive oil. - Crasto Superior is fresh and balanced on the nose. Fresh on the palate, great body and ripe firm tannins. Very complex notes of dark berried fruits, gum cistus and cocoa lingering towards the elegant finish. Excellent length

- The grapes were completely destemmed and slightly crushed. After this, the must was transferred to temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks

The grapes from our Quinta da Cabreira, in the Upper Douro, were transported in small plastic boxes and subjected to rigorous screening to the winery entrance. After a total de-stemming and crushing slightly, the wort was transferred to fermentation tanks stainless steel with controlled temperature. Color: Violet loaded. Nose: Excellent design and aromatic intensity, which features fresh notes of wild berries, in line with elegant violet aromas, and soft notes of cocoa. Mouth balanced Top evolving into a wine with excellent volume, solid structure comprises engaging and silky tannins. All in perfect harmony with fresh retro nasal aromas of berries. Ends harmonious and with great persistence.
