You will like to know that…
The Adega Cooperativa do Cartaxo (shortened to "Adega do Cartaxo") is a Portuguese wine cooperative that was founded in 1954. The cooperative aimed to prove that producing good wine is time well spent. The cooperative was founded with 22 members and currently covers 700 hectares of land in the Tejo and Vinho wine regions. Producing 7,000,000 bottles of high-quality wine yearly is no small task, but they manage to do so.
The mix of clay and limestone in the soils of this region makes them perfectly suited to the production of exceptional grapes. While the Adega do Cartaxo mostly produces red wines, Plexus Frisante Branco is one of the excellent white wines in its portfolio. This is a sparkling white wine from the Tejo region that is made using a mixture of three different types of grapes: Fernão Pires, Tália, and Boal de Alicante.
With its citrus colouring and its fruity aroma, this sparkling wine is definitely going to make your mouth water. The intense aroma smells of a delicious mix of cantaloupe and citrus. A pleasantly fruity taste backs up the aroma of this soft, balanced gem. Served cold, it will be a refreshing pairing to enjoy with fish or other seafood.
