Falua 2017 (Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Touriga Nacional, Aragonêz and Alicante Bouschet)

  • View: This red wine has a pinkish-red hue, similar to that of raspberry or strawberry jam.
  • Nose: This wine has an undeniable fruity smell. The large variety of grapes used in this wine, as well as other berry-like scents, ensure this fresh and pleasant aroma.
  • Mouth: The look and scent of this wine give away its flavor. A full-bodied grape flavour, with a sweet mixture of jam-like flavour, make this a sweet and delicious wine. Since this wine was aged in oak, it also takes on notes typical of this wood.

VINEYARD: The Falua vineyard is located in the Tejo region of Portugal. The vineyard is famous for its wines, which include red, rose, sparkling, and white varieties. The charneca terroir and sandy soil give their large range of grapes a unique growing environment.

GRAPES: Alicante Bouschet, Aragonez, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, and Touriga Nacional

AGEING: This wine is aged for six months in oak barrels.

PREPARATION: The grapes a picked shortly before they are crushed for their juice. After a stage of natural fermentation, they are further fermented in stainless steel tanks at a temperature of 25ºC. They are then aged in oak barrels before being bottled.

PAIRING: This delicate red wine pairs best with seasoned appetizers, grilled meat, and spicy vegetarian dishes.

Grenade color set. In the proof presents aromas of red fruit and jam. The soft tannins give it a very balanced and pleasant structure, ending with notes of ripe fruit.
