Quinta de Pinhanços Reserva 2011 (Jaén, Touriga Nacional and Tinta Roriz)

TASTING NOTES:

  • View: Intense ruby ​​red.
  • Nose: Aromatic notes of red fruits; cherries, strawberries, raspberries, cranberries.
  • Mouth: fresh and balanced acidity with the presence of tannins to the palate and persistent aftertaste.

APPELLATION: Dão.

VINEYARD: Quinta de Pinhanços.

GRAPES: Tinta Roriz, Touriga Nacional, Alfrocheiro, Jaen.

AGEING: This wine is aged for 12 months in French oak barrels and wine spends 2 months after bottling.

PREPARATION: The mixture is pressed grapes and undergoes a double fermentation process in stainless steel tanks and at temperatures of 24-26 °C. Subsequently aged in French oak barrels for 12 months, bottled and stays another 2 months in cellar before being brought to market.

WINE PAIRING: Grilled red, lamb, pork chops, game birds, spicy meat entrees.

TEMPERATURE: 16 °C

TASTING NOTES:
Deep ruby colour. Intense redberry fruits, envolving spicies and lots of finesse. Good volume in the mouth, excellent tanin structure and very persistent end. Intense, long and persistent finish.
