TASTING NOTES Quinta da Falorca Garrafeira 2011:

  • View: dark, opaque and closed purple.
  • Nose: Aromas of ripe fruit, jam, some sweet suggestion, floral, notes of cocoa and spices, perfect balance.
  • Mouth: bitter good, fresh, ripe, deep bodied, nicely balanced acidity.

GRAPES: National Touriga 75%, 15% Ink Roriz, Rufete (+ different breeds) 10%

AGEING: aged 60% in 1st year, in the second year in Allier French oak barrels (24 months) and the cylinder (30 months).

They had it at the local shop.
It had a very deep colour. Strong scents of coffee and toffee. Powerful taste of wild berries.

In the mouth it is very safe, and good bitterness, with fresh acidity in a mature and deep set. Long, full-bodied, very done well balanced in its sporty rustic style.

We bought it online.
A Dao with brown edges. Cedarwood aromas. The flavour remained for a long time.
