TASTING NOTES OF Casa de Santar Reserva 2011:
- View: very concentrated ruby red.
- Nose: Complex aromas of ripe fruit.
- Mouth: full-bodied, soft and fine tannins, lingering finish.
APPELLATION: Dao.
GRAPES: Touriga Nacional, Alfrocheiro, Tinta Roriz.
TEMPERATURE: 16 °C to 18 °C.
ALCOHOL: 14%

Casa de Santar was founded in 1790 and nowadays is one of the most well-known wineries of Dão region. With more than 200 years of history, its vineyard's dimension and its wines prestige are the base of Casa de Santar strength and awareness.

This wine is rather watery for my taste.
A golden brown white wine of Dão Sul. Aromas of banana. This Dao has a very good acidity.
I recommend it with marinated sardines.

Typical opacity of a . Smells like red fruit compote this wine from . Quite light.
It was not well paired with fish.
