Hugo Casanova Carmenere Reserva Estate 2018

The Reserva wines by Hugo Casanova are designed to showcase and enhance the typicity of each grape variety, giving a sophisticated result, with good structure and great harmony. Carménère, a grape variety originally planted in the Medoc region of France, is now rarely found there, even though it is considered as one of the six original grapes of Bordeaux. With 8'800 hectares of vines, winemakers have inadvertently preserved this grape variety that thrives in the Chilean climate.
Aged in oak for 10 months, Hugo Casanova Reserva Carménère is full of delicious dark fruit flavours with a touch of spice on the palate.

The Casanova family have been making wines in Chile since 1898. The reserva Carmenere is something a bit different from them and has a touch of spice on the palate. Aged in oak for 10 months it is full of dark fruit flavours and aromas.
