TASTING NOTES:

  • Nose: with soft citrus aromas, with metallic and earthy touches.
  • Mouth: mineral flavor characteristic of the varietal, with hints of toasted bread and nuts. high but balanced acidity.

APPELLATION: CreteVINEYARD: Bodega Douloufakis. It is located in Dafnes, in the central part of Crete. Production vineyards began in 1930, in soils that are characterized by stony, with a temperate climate predominant, 350 meters above sea level. Culturing is carried out by mechanical means. If wine Alargo Assyrtiko 2016 has on its label a Cretan man facing his homeland and in his name "reached out" which means "far away".GRAPES: Assyrtiko.

AGEING: aging takes place in the bottle for one year.PREPARATION: 100% Assyrtiko grapes, which is the most famous varietal in Greece, are harvested by hand and carefully selected. Winery the grapes are pressed and are immediately separated from the skins, in order to obtain a white wine. Fermentation process is classical and is carried in stainless steel at low temperatures controlled 18ºC.
