TASTING NOTES OF E. Guigal Côtes-Du-Rhône 2009:

  • View: deep, dark red. Bright.
  • Nose: aromas of black fruit and spicy notes.
  • Mouth: Round, highly integrated but present, amplitude and aromatic, full intensity, persistence good tannins. elegant and fine balance of tannins and fruit.

APPELLATION: Côtes Du Rhône.

GRAPES: 49% Syrah, 48% Grenache, Mourvèdre 3%.

AGEING: fudres raised in new oak for 18 months.

PREPARATION: the must fermented at controlled in closed stainless steel tanks and made a long maceration temperature.

PAIRING: White meats, stews, poultry, mushrooms.

These wines have each become flagships of their appellations.

Great wine. fast delivery. A lot of polystyrene packaging that could have been cardboard.

The outstanding flavour is of red roses, without any doubt.. The mild flavour and the chocolate were present.
The E. Guigal Côtes du Rhône is very good if served cold.
