Andre Brunel Côtes du Rhône 'Est Ouest' Domaine Andre Brunel 2017 (Grenache and Cinsault)
- View: nice deep garnet color.
- Nose: spicy aromas, lush red fruit ripens.
- Mouth: good structure, round tannins and a lovely balance, an elegant finish.
APPELLATION: Côtes du Rhône.
VINEYARD: The vines are grown on two plots located to the east and to the west of the Rhone (hence the name) and impart the complexity of the different terroirs of the Rhone in the resulting wine. The complementary qualities of these two terroirs allow vines Grenache 35 years old reveal their full potential: the elegance and finesse comes from small yields of 35 hectoliters per hectare and subsoil of clay and limestone of the terroir of Saint Geniès de Comolas in Gard, while round pebbles and subsoil clay Travaillan Vaucluse impart the structure and strength to the mixture.
GRAPES: Grenache 75%, Cinsault 15% and 10% Syrah.
AGEING: aged in tanks to preserve freshness and purity of the fruit and then bottled unclarified, only a light filter.
PREPARATION: 100% destemmed grapes crushed before pressing, maceration and fermentation carried out in tanks with controlled temperature. Vinification lasts between 20 and 30 days, and returns grid and lid piercing, drawing and phenolic compounds resulting in more successful features.
WINE PAIRING: Red meats and sausages.
