Miraval Rosé 2019
You will like to know that…
The Miraval estate is really one of those places that inadvertently concentrates the zeitgeist of any given time and epoch. Long after it was residence to french nobility, it became home to Joseph Lambot, inventor of reinforced concrete, who is said to be responsible for the huge wine cellar. Purchased in the late 70s by French jazz pianist Jacques Loussier, it became also the site for a music studio, where many artists such as Queen, Sting, and Elton John have come to take advantage of the elegiac atmosphere. Pink Floyd's "The Wall" album was partly recorded here. The present incarnation of the wine produced here comes by the hand of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie who purchased the property in 2011 and even got married in it. They're divorced now, in case you didn't know, but the Miraval is kept flowing by the couple's wine expertise Marc Perrin. Although Mr. Perrin guided the making of the Miraval wine, apparently the A-list couple took a very active role in its conception. The whole world has come to the conclusion that this is a very serious and pleasing wine so don't be a cynic. The Miraval is a celebrity on its own.
