The Guigal Estate was founded in 1946 by Etienne Guigal in Ampuis, and taken over by Marcel, his son, in 1961. This family business prospers each generation, and is nowadays famous all around the world for their high-quality wines. Philippe, Marcel's son, manages the vineyards since 1975 with its wife Eve, and they have vines in famous plots such as La Dorianne in Condrieu, La Turque, La Mouline or La Landonne in Côte-Rôtie.

Hue : deep and dark, with purple tints
Nose : very expressive, with a hint of ripe fruits and oaky fragrances.
Palate : this wine has a great distinction, it develops flavors of vanilla and prunes. The mid-palate is structured and tannic, with a very good potential of ageing !

The first person who told me about this wine, was my brother.
A very light color Côtes Du Rhône. Aromas of raspberry. A very dense red.
I had it with cod and potatoes.

Cherry red, clean colour. Toffee notes can be appreciated. The 2015 tastes a little bit oily in the mouth.
This E. Guigal Château d'Ampuis does not need food to accompany.
I drank this 2015 with my co-workers.
