Description of Vilosell 2017
Vilosell 2017 (Cabernet Sauvignon, Garnacha, Merlot, Samsó, Tempranillo, Syrah and Garnacha tinta)
- View: Cherry bright, intense, clean and dark cherry high layer.
- Nose: I smoked aromas of black fruit, chocolate with hints of white pepper.
- Mouth: plush and enticingly sweet taste of blackberries and mocha. Great persistence and breadth in the mouth.
APPELLATION: Costers of the Segre.
VINEYARD: vineyards situated at 712 meters. Worked through organic farming and certified by CCPA. Work exclusively with organic fertilizers homemade. Plowing between strains preservation of plant cover soil. Gravels and substrates of varying amounts of dirt and rock.
GRAPES: Tempranillo, Syrah and Grenache.
AGEING: Aged in French oak barrels of fine grain first and second year for 9 months. Aging on lees for 3 months in cement underground tanks.
PREPARATION: Manual harvest in boxes and refrigeration of whole grapes, with strict selection of grapes grain by grain double sorting table. Cold maceration of the grapes. Fermentation and maceration of skins cut 10,000 liter tank. Fermentation between 22 and 26ºC. Work identification and selection of vine indigenous yeasts for inoculation during fermentation.
WINE PAIRING: roast pork, grilled lamb, stews, rice with meat, sausages and semi-hard cheeses.
RECOMMENDED SERVING TEMPERATURE: 16 ° C

After 20 years of experience manufacturing and marketing of wines in Costers del Segre, Tomàs Cusiné beginning in 2003, his new wine venture. Very knowledgeable about the area, engages his company with a long-term, with the aim of consolidating its hold of prestige. It is installed in the village of El Vilosell, in the region of Les Garrigues (Lleida), rent the old cooperative and remodeling, restoring underground silos and incorporating all the necessary infrastructure for elegant wines of great quality.
