Raimat Saira Albariño 2018 (Albariño)
- View: bright, straw yellow, greenish reflections.
- Nose: mineral aromas at the beginning, complements of white flowers, tropical fruit, such as mango, bone, such as nectarine and a more mature part citrus, grapefruit.
- Mouth: broad, full of texture and continental character, fresh feeling, a half-bulkier palate and a long, refreshing finish. playing the notes of the nose, citrus, minerals, hints of mango and the end of white flowers and hints of melon.
APPELLATION: Costers del Segre.
AGEING: Aged for 10 months in oak barrels.
PREPARATION: two vineyards Costers Segre harvested separately, each component fermented differently for different texture and complexity, colder plot fermented at low temperature for citric component. Fermentations with lees and daily battonage. Fermentations performed with selected yeasts.
PAIRING: white meat, fish, seafood, rice and pasta, Asian cuisines such as Japanese and Thai, tempura, grilled vegetables, also for snacks like anchovies, cockles, spatter octopus, olives.
ALCOHOL CONTENT: 12.5%
Wineries Raimat were the second major project Raventos family, a pioneer in the production of cava in Spain through its winery Codorniu. Raimat the first winery was built in 1918 by the modernist architect Rubio i Bellver, quite innovative at the time.
