The Castell d'Encus vineyard is located at 850-1250m high, in an area of maximum sun exposure, and it is bordered by an important wooded area. The property consists of approximately 95 hectares of land, 25 hectares of which are used for vine growing.
The winery was born with a clear experimental vocation, aiming to obtain high quality wines. This is why vines were planted in high density and low production ratio varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Pinot Noir, Syrah, Petit Verdot, Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling, Semillon and Albariño. They were all planted with the conviction that the cool climate in which they are placed is the best for their growth.
This wine is light straw yellow in colour. The aroma is high intensity with floral notes of daisies, mango and grapefruit. Dry peach notes and lime citrus notes on the palate. Long with good freshness and acidity, and a fruity and complex after taste. This wine will develop the cold weather Riesling complexity while aging in the bottle, always well integrated with the high acidity and long glycerine characteristics from botrytis wine.

My friends loved Ekam.
Dark yellow colour . Aromas of freshly picked lemon from the tree. Light on the palate.
We accompanied it with cheese macaroni.

I took the Castell d'Encús wine with grilled vegetables. I took 2 bottles of Ekam Blanc 2013 with a former partner.
Ekam Blanc, deep yellow. Smells really good, like banana and lychees. It was light but tasted like blackberries.

It's yellow, but almost amber. Curious aromas of citrus. For me it tasted like grape.
This Ekam does not need food to accompany.
It's a white I like to drink when I'm alone.
They had it in a wine stand and I bought it.
I just love it.
