The French Revolution had just ended when Courvoisier was founded. Founded in Bercy, just outside of Paris, this French company has been making such fine cognac - that even Napoleon himself loved - since 1809. That is why an iconic silhouette of Napoleon with his hand tucked into his coat can still be found on the label of every bottle of Courvoisier. Loved by royals, celebrities, and artists over the years, this is a brand that has been making its mark on the world since its founding and will continue to do so in the future.
Fins Bois, Grande, and Petite Champagne grapes are collected from the Cognac region and processed into their distinct eau-de-vie. These are then skilfully blended into the spirit known as Courvoisier VSOP. VSOP stands for "Very Superior Old Pale", meaning that the youngest eau-de-vie used in the blend is at least four years old. Shining with the beautiful flavours of peach, toasted almond, and jasmine, this smooth and elegant cognac is simply timeless.
The aroma of Courvoisier VSOP makes this finely crafted spirit enchanting. But it is the taste that will keep you coming back for more. The beautiful amber colour gained from years of ageing in oak gives way to a burst of flavour that is best enjoyed however you see fit. Whether neat, on the rocks, with a splash of water, or in a mixed drink, Courvoisier VSOP is sure to shine.

PRODUCER: Courvoisier. This is a cognac brand with a 200-year-long history. It was originally established in Bercy, a suburb of Paris, in 1809, by Emmanuel Courvoisier. He and Louis Gallois, the mayor of Bercy, at the time, were famous high-quality cognac traders. They realized that the only way they could guarantee the quality of their product was to become producers themselves.
COUNTRY: France
PRODUCTION DETAILS: Courvoisier V.S.O.P. is a blend of top-quality, hand-made cognacs. The different ageing times that each cru included in the blend, along with an on-the-lees distillation process, gives Courvoisier V.S.O.P. the aroma and flavour complexity it is famous for. The cognac crus that the base wines come from are Grande Champagne, Petite Champagne and Fins Bois. Before blending the brandy is distilled using a micro distillation process, after which it is stored in upright barrels. The ageing is done in Limousin and Tronçais oak barrels. Together, the production process creates a harmonious and unbelievably complex brandy.
