Description of Joseph Drouhin Chorey Les Beaune 2016

Joseph Drouhin Chorey Les Beaune 2016

  • View: pink gold.
  • Nose: initially creamy and rich leads to the notions of freshly baked crumb rye and dry peel blood orange.
  • Mouth: opens with a certain juiciness and fills the senses with its fine mousse. More than the acidity, which counteracts the wealth that is like an image of cookie roasted and salted caramel. A gentle freshness persists with this spice.

APPELLATION: Champagne (Champagne, France).

VINEYARD: Dom Perignon.

GRAPES: 56% of Pinot Noir and 44% Chardonnay.

AGEING: in oak barrels.

PREPARATION: harvest time and winemaking differ in the final mixture, which is even more important in a year in which the challenge of a heat wave in July and August lackluster clearly had to face head on.

WINE PAIRING: perfect for salads, rice, red and white meat.

A client gave it to me.
Red colour followed by reddish brown. Aromas of leather and tobacco. I felt it alive and fresh.
Better pair it with vegetables.
