Renzo Masi Fiasco Chianti 2018 (Canaiolo and Sangiovese)

- Mouth: Well-structured and concentrated with a full and fruit-forward taste. Juicy notes of blackberries, raspberries, and plum with a touch of florals. The finish is long with a touch of lively acidity. Overall, the taste is quite typical of the Sangiovese variety.
VINEYARD: Renzo Masi. These Italian grapes come from Renzo Masi vineyards in Chianti region of sunny Tuscany, Italy. The vines grow is at a high altitude in that soil is of mixed consistency with alkaline soil. Renzo Masi is a family company that has been making wine for three generations, aiming to reach a higher standard of quality every year.
GRAPES: Sangiovese 95%, Colorino 5%
AGEING: Can be enjoyed immediately, but will also cellar well for 3 years.
PREPARATION: After arrival at the winery, the grapes are destemmed and gentley crushed. The alcoholic fermentation took place in inox stainless steel tanks that were temperature-controlled to between 23°C and 25°C.
PAIRING: Steak, barbecue, lamb chops, game, prosciutto, Tuscan soup, pasta with meaty red sauces, gnocchi with sage and butter sauce, grilled vegetables, soft cheeses.
