TASTING NOTES:
- View: Bright ruby red
- Nose: A fantastic aroma with notes of berry, plum, and tangy spices along with accents of lavender and rose
- Mouth: This blended red wine has a fruit-forward flavour with a good amount of acidity. Red fruit and berry notes are beautifully balanced with liquorice and gentle tannins for an unmistakable Chianti taste. Supple mouthfeel and medium-long finish.
APPELLATION: Chianti
VINEYARD: Badia di Morrona boasts 110 hectares of vineyards in the Pisan hills between Pisa and Florence in Italy. The estate's grape vines are densely planted and enjoy south or south-eastern exposures sandy limestone-rich soils
GRAPES: 90% Sangiovese, 5% Cabernet, and 5% Merlot
AGEING: The grapes are macerated for over a week and vinified in steel or concrete vats prior to ageing.
PREPARATION: Badia di Morrona is committed to environmentally sustainable winemaking. The winery uses energy from solar panels installed on its property for sustainable energy usage. In addition to supporting the ecosystem, Badia di Morrona is devoted to making wines of exceptional quality. Its vast vines are tended to by hand and each grape is carefully harvested by hand for an exceptional wine.
