Producers since 1385, Antinori offers with this 2015 vintage of Tenuta Tignanello "Marchese Antinori' Chianti Classico Riserva a modern and high quality Tuscan wine, whose originality lies in the combination of Cabernet Sauvignon and Sangiovese grape varieties. From the Pèppoli, Badia a Passignano and Tignanello estates, from vines with south-western calcareous soils, it is aged between 12 and 14 months in French and Hungarian oak barrels. Awarded by many international critics, the total success of this assembly has made it widespread worldwide, in Australia, California, Texas and Arizona.

With an intense ruby colour, the nose reveals fruity aromas of blackcurrant, toasted oak and black cherry. Badia a Passignano is above Sambuca Val di Pesa, 3km south of Tenuta Tignanello; its 223 hectares extend over a calcareous soil, reaching a height of 250 to 300 meters in one of the most beautiful areas of the Chianti and productive. Its fundamental importance in the history of Chianti is reported hundreds of volumes, now preserved in the State Archives of Florence, which give news of the Sangiovese vineyards and crops of the area. In confirmation of this, in 1983, in Badia a Passignano surrounding land was found a plant vitis vinifera millennial. VignetiI vineyards surrounding the abbey belong to the Antinori family since 1987. Currently there are 56 hectares of vineyards planted with Sangiovese (using selection of the best Sangiovese clones taken at Tignanello from very old vines, planted with a density of 5 000 - 7 000 screws) per hectare and grown with the cordon system), and a small part in Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah. Badia a Passignano also has 19 hectares planted with olive trees, with Frantoio, Leccino and Moraiolo. CantinaL'abbazia, which was the residence of the founder of Vallombrosa, is owned by the monks, while Antinori has the use of the beautiful, ancient, wineries located just below the monastery. They have vaulted ceilings, thick walls, and are a perfect environment for aging because they maintain constant humidity and temperature throughout the year. 2. An intense ruby red with occasional brick-toned highlights, the wines aromas are fragrant and fresh with pleasurable notes of red berry fruit and exotic fruit and hints of liquorice, currants, vanilla, and passion fruit. The notes of Chianti Classico-style Sangiovese dominate the nose and fuse perfectly with a Cabernet which is equally important in characterizing this wine. On the palate the wine is highly pleasurable, supple, round, and soft in texture and savory as well. Tonic and vibrant sensations characterize a notably elegant finish and aftertaste.
