You will like to know that…
This fabulous wine, Ruffino Chianti Classico Riserva Ducale, has been widely prized since it was first launched in 1927. Riserva Ducale is made with modern winemaking techniques to improve upon traditional Italian methods, and is widely recognized as a benchmark for Chianti Classico Riserva.
Why this name? Ducale means 'duke' in Italian. Riserva Ducale honors the Duke of Aosta, who took on a trip through the Alps to taste the Ruffino wines he had heard so much about. He was so impressed by the wine that in 1890, he named Ruffino as the official supplier to the Italian royal family. This honor is not only reflected in the name of the wine, but is also represented on its iconic label, one of the most recognizable in the world of Italian wine.

Reviews of Ruffino Chianti Classico Riserva Ducale 2012
I enjoyed it.
As nearly all of them this one shows also a cherry colour. A smell quite well. Distinctive oxidation notes on the palate.

Delicious with grilled meat and vegetables.
It's the typical wine, me and my friends order for dinner.
