Who was the first to think of using the old quarries to stock champagne bottles? Veuve Clicquot Vintage Brut Rosé 2008

The Veuve Clicquot Rosé is the declination of the Rosé Brut Yellow Label, which has the structure: Pinot Noir intensity that dominates (50-55%) and characterizes the style of the Maison. Delicacy and elegance of Chardonnay (28-33%). Roundness of the Pinot Meunier touch (15-20%). The reserve wines (between 25% and 35%, sometimes up to 40%), both white and red, guarantee the continuity of the style of the Maison. To this base the Chef de Cave has added a red wines assembled from selected red grapes, to give a wonderful balance to this unique Rosé. The robe is bright, generous and fine nose. Dominate the aromas of raspberry, of wild strawberry, cherry, which evolve towards notes of dried fruit and pastry. In the mouth, the attack is fresh and fruity yields in harmony. Refined and quality, the wine has a wonderful balance and surprising intensity.

- The finest wines of the Cote des Blancs and Montagne de Reims combine with those of Bouzy to make their vintage Rosé reserve, the crowning achievement of a remarkable year. A wine of perfect balance and structure with extraordinary finesse.
- It's bouquet is complex and powerful, the predominant aroma is of red fruits, in total harmony with a hint of spice.
- Please store this fine Champagne carefully, horizontally in a cool place away from the light and sudden changes in temperature, it should be chilled before serving.

Veuve Clicquot Vintage Rosé Avec Étui 2008

My boss gifted to me.
It has a very nice colour. Light aromas of yeast and bakery. A Champagne with a very good acidity.
As I had it between meals I could not pair it.
