Pol Roger Cuvée Sir Winston Churchill 2008 (Chardonnay, Pinot Nero and Pinot Noir)
TASTING NOTES:
- View: The opulent golden color of wine is enlivened by a fine and harmonious stream of bubbles.
- Nose: With notes of white flowers and freshly baked brioches, dried fruit and toasted hazelnuts and almonds, and a touch of orange peel.
- Mouth: It is powerful and yet exquisitely well balanced, with notes of citrus, especially grapefruit, along with creamy notes of pastry.
APPELLATION: France.
VINEYARD: Grand Cru.
GRAPES: Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.
AGEING: 10 years in cellar.
PREPARATION: The press is taken to the vineyards, only top quality wine is used, the different varieties and different vineyards are vinified separately, after performing malolactic fermentation the wines are assembled. Passes breed in desk, where the stirring is done by hand, then stay on lees in raising their underground cellars for 11 years. parenting so long this time contributes to a rich, highly integrated and fine bead, also a great aromatic complexity and great balance.
PAIRING: The weight, balance and mineral freshness mean that this champagne can be served with parmigano Reggiano matured for 18 months, a stuffed capon "facon demi-deuil" or sweetbreads cooked with morels.
