The Mumm Cordon Rouge Brut is a Champagne for unique occasions and big events. A world-famous, emblematic cuvée, the Cordon Rouge has transformed G.H. Mumm into the most famous Champagne house in the world.
But why the red ribbon? In 1876, Georges Hermann Mumm decided to pay tribute to the cuvée that had made him famous by decorating the bottle with a red silk ribbon normally worn by the great personalities who received the Legion of Honour, the highest award of the French Republic.
The vintage 1985 is unique, especially for Champagne lovers and collectors.

Reviews of Mumm Cordon Rouge 1985
Nice colour. Reminds me of other sparkling wines, aromas of yeast. On the palate was quite thick.
Mumm Cordon 2002
I especially liked the colour. Aromas of yeast. Taste of ripe fruit in the mouth.
Great to vegetables and grilled meat.
