In 1974, a hundred years after the creation of the iconic Cristal, Jean-Claude Rouzaud created the Cristal Rosé cuvée by selecting old Pinot Noir vines from the Grand Cru of Aÿ, which are now cultivated biodynamically.

Thanks to its exclusive Infusion technique, which consists of adding part of the juice of the Chardonnay grapes to a maceration of Pinot Noir to ferment together, a fresh and complex rosé sparkling wine is obtained, which is also extremely delicate.

Louis Roederer Cristal Rosé 2012 (Chardonnay, Pinot Nero and Pinot Noir)

TASTING NOTES:

  • Colour: Pink salmon with golden sparkles.
  • Nose: Delicate and distinct notes of citrus peel, yuzu, forest fruit, tangerines, wild raspberries and strawberries.
  • Mouth: sharp and extremely tasty, elegant, intense and fruity profile.

APPELLATION: Champagne.

VINEYARD size: 230 hectares. Chalky clay soil.

GRAPES: 56% Pinot noir and 44% Chardonnay.

AGEING: Ageing for at least 6 years and 8 months resting after disgorging. Dosage 8g / l.

WINEMAKING: Vintage done manually. Fermentation takes place in oak barrels. No malolactic fermentation.

WINE PAIRING: salmon, lamb, cheeses and desserts based on red fruits.

RECOMMENDED SERVING TEMPERATURE: 6-8 ° C

  • Vista: rosa salmone, bagliori dorati.
  • Naso: note delicate e precise di scorze di agrumi, yuzu, frutti di bosco, mandarini, lamponi selvatici e fragole.
  • Bocca: tagliente ed estremamente gustoso, elegante, intenso e fruttato profilo.
