How did the Cristal? From a personal request, in 1876, Tsar Alexander II directly to Louis Roederer; He wanted to have a cuvée for its exclusive use and personal. Louis then proposed a crystal clear bottle in which to develop the best selection of 7 cru of his estate. Thus was born the Cristal, which took its name from the clear bottle with a flat bottom, at the time of crystal, used just from Roederer to bottle this great sparkling wine. The 2008 vintage is unique, able to impress all fans (and beyond!) To the intensity and aromatic quality that sets it apart. The grapes that go to the making of this prestige cuvee, which made him famous all over the world his name, come from vineyards classified 100% in the scale of crus, harmoniously divided between the most common areas of Champagne, all owned by the the Roederer winery. In the words of Jean Baptiste Lecaillon (chef de cave and general manager of Roederer): "In wine there is the beautiful texture of maturity along with clear gloss acidity combined with chalky notes crisper. Maybe the most of Cristal Cristal, a paradigm for those to come. it is drunk already very well today, it's a boy, but can age 20-30 years, it took him 10 years to open up and there are no doubts about his longevity.
