Technical sheet · William Fevre Chablis Grand Cru Les Preuses
“Chablis Grand Cru Les Preuses is one of the top models in the Fèvre portfolio. The hand-picked grapes ferment in stainless steel temperature gergeld after which they are allowed to mature around 10-15 months in oak. A dust-complex, super-slim chablis in the nose with a beautiful bouquet of citrus blossom, mandarin, oyster shell and wet stones. On the palate the wine is full, spacious and elegant shiny, with sharp acidity, a fine texture and a precise, elegant mineral finish and very small dose botertje. The 2017 Preuses is perhaps the most elegant implementation of this top Chablis and has therefore received 94/100 Parker Points. Give the wine a few years in the cellar or wine storage cabinet and in his early years motto is to decant the wine. This beauty of a Chablis can definitely save up to 2040, but why would you do that !!
“It is always good to share wine, but this is especial.
I do not know the exact colour, it seemed a dark yellow type white. It smelled of lemon and apple. The 2005 is thick in the mouth.
Very good with rice pudding.”
“Good wine to drink between hours. The best of William Fevre for drinking in good company.
The William Fevre Chablis Grand Cru Les Preuses is of a very pale yellow. Fresh lemon and apple aromas. The taste was a bit salty, I was greatly surprised.”
