“The Carignano del Sulcis Superiore Terre Brune well-known Sardinian winery Santadi is an extraordinary red, a real pearl wine cellars of Southern Sardinia. A terroir wine that well represents this sub-region from the Sardinian millennial geology. The label, which belongs to the Excellencies line, is the outcome of the processing of grapes native Carignan (95%) and Bovaleddu (5%). From this blend it was created a label that has won several national and international awards, including that of the prestigious Slowine Guide. The Carignano del Sulcis Superiore Terre Brune, takes shape from grapes harvested by hand from the second half of September and the first decade of October. At harvest follows a fermentation in steel, after which the wine is aged for 16-18 months in new French oak barrels and then is bottled. Before being marketed but yet mature in the bottle for one year. The result is a red with good structure. A complex wine, soft, elegant and rich, warm drink, a label for full-bodied, bursting and the important longevity.”
